Description

Since independence, Kenya has failed to conduct a fully free and fair election due to socio- political and sometimes religious factors. Elections are always rigged and destabilized using thugs and other rigging techniques. Paper or ballot voting and corruption are the main causative agents for this failure of free and fair election. Electronic voting could prevent election rigging and minimise it to a greater extent if the government and the people will be committed towards solving the nation’s problems. Thus the best election method for Kenya is an electronic voting This paper presents the design and implementation of an electronic voting machine designed with Unified Modelling Language (UML) and then Simulated in Proteus ISIS using PIC18F4520 Microcontroller. The microcontroller program was written in C in MPLAB IDE. The system enables voters cast their votes electronically. The system ensures only the valid voter votes and only once. This could be achieved by identifying the voter’s finger print in addition to the use of the Radio frequency identification (RFID) identity added on the voter’s card to enhance……..

This academic project is useful for students in TVET, diploma, college, and university programs who need a project reference for study, formatting guidance, documentation flow, concept understanding, or final-year preparation.

It may support topic understanding, methodology review, report structuring, proposal writing, presentation preparation, and academic benchmarking. It is especially useful where students need a sample document to understand how academic project sections are arranged and presented.

For best results, the document should be reviewed carefully and adapted to institutional requirements, supervisor feedback, and current academic standards before submission.

Why learners and professionals use this resource on SmartLib:
- Structured content for easier understanding and use
- Downloadable format for offline access
- Useful for revision, study, planning, teaching, or customization
- Suitable as a reference material, not a substitute for original thinking or institution-specific requirements
